Sarah Kay lives in a suburb of Sidney, Australia, far away from the big city.
Together with her son Adam and her daughter Alison she resides in a house with a beautiful garden.
She doesn't want any publicity and never gives any interviews not even for commercial purposes.

Sarah had always been fond of drawing. So she had studied at an Art Academy and at the age of 20 she had started working for an advertising agency.
The designs which brought her great success, however, were made during a period of great anxiety:
her little daughter, Allison, was badly ill and to distract herself, Sarah Kay began to draw.
She designed happy children in a peaceful environment like the one she had known herself on her grandparents' farm.
One day she sold 20 drawings to a greeting card publisher.
The 20 pictures were printed on children's birthday cards and this also meant the triomph of Sarah Kay's drawings.
The lovely, richly detailed renditions appealed the public immediately.
Nowadays, Sarah Kay is known all over the world.
The overwhelming success of her designs may be due to the fact that they remind people of their own childhood.

Her paintings of children are always so lovely and romatic.
I like her kind of style. I collect pictures of Sarah Kay since 1980.
In that year I bought a lot of stickers, but I didn´t had the sticker album.
Some month ago I discovered a Sarah Kay Sticker Album at ebay.com through the help of Natasja, a Sarah Kay Collector from the netherlands.

Well, this Album was from Figurine Panini and full with the complete 144 stickers of Sarah Kay of 1980.
So I took part at the auction regarding this album and I´ve won the auction!
What a great luck. So now I own this wonderful album :

Sometimes ago I found about 20 postcards plus envelope of Sarah Kay in a post-office in Frankfurt, Germany.
During the following weeks I bought really all of the 50 postcards of this special collection.
Those postcards are great, because they are bigger than the small stickers of the album.
I keep my Sarah Kay stickers together with some mini-Sarah Kay stickers in a nice box with flowers.
At least I also have a Sarah Kay lampshade with nice pictures on it.

I´m always glad to get mail from other Sarah Kay friends and collectors.
